Jeff Bruin has been a custom builder for 25 years and an expert castle designer since the age of five. As a licensed general contractor, he understands all aspects of the home building process, from design through to implementation and finishing.

With nearly 3 decades of carpentry experience, Jeff has an eye for fine detail and is dedicated to quality craftsmanship, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and durability. He has established a firm reputation for excellence and works with his customers to create functional living spaces that reflect their unique visions.

Michelle is an experienced cabinetry design specialist with over 20 years of dedication to the trade. She attended Pacific Design Academy in Victoria BC, earning a diploma in interior design in which she had extensive training by kitchen and bathroom design professionals.

There, Michelle discovered her passion for hand and computer-assisted drafting, which complimented her artistic nature. Having been born and raised in Nelson BC, Michelle understands the value of small-town client relations and creates personalized customer service experiences for all individuals involved in her projects.

Kate’s journey into cabinet design started over 20+ years ago when she completed her training to become a cabinet maker in London, England. She qualified with a diploma distinction for fine cabinet making as well as a red seal equivalent in carpentry and joinery from the Building Crafts College in East London. After this she landed a cabinet makers position at “Artichoke Ltd”, a company making high end bespoke furniture and cabinetry just outside Bristol and later set up a custom paint shop in Nelson BC, where she expanded her skill set to include custom finishing and painting.

In 2018 that she met Jeff Bruin and expanded her skill set even further, naturally progressing from manufacturing, and finishing into the designing process. Here she obtained more qualifications with a diploma in interior design and decorating.

Natalie has grown up in the serene landscapes of the West Kootenays. Her keen eye for finishes, colours and spatial awareness were clear at a young age; always redecorating, coordinating colours and experimenting ideas in her childhood home. Fostering the passion for design in 2013 she earned a Diploma of Interior Design at the Center for Arts and Technology in the Okanagan.

For the past 10+ years she has been able to hone her skills of creating beautiful and harmonious living spaces working alongside many skilled professionals. She is a believer in the transformative power of perseverance and expanding her knowledge in the ever-evolving realm of design. The Kitchen Connection has provided her the space to dedicate her career to making a positive impact through thoughtful design and meaningful connections.
