Practical Sophistication
The existing footprint of this reimagined kitchen presented intriguing spatial challenges that developed into distinct design details. Entering the kitchen a condensed corner allows adequate space for a full-size fridge and a wine cubby to be tucked away in the base cabinetry. Fitting the corner alcove with a tambour door for small appliances, was a great way to provide functional counter storage while eliminating clutter. Directly across from the fridge, another narrow wall creates a quaint cleaning area, with a pronounced apron front sink and dishwasher. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, anchored with darker bases, and softened with white wall cabinetry brings brightness to the space, while visually adding height to the 8' ceiling. Accents of warm wood and gold hardware convey a distinct touch of elegance that ties the kitchen area together with the rest of the beautifully decorated home. The peninsula presents a bar space for entertaining guests, while providing a large prep surface and double-sided storage for functionality. Clean, chunky peninsula paneling, lavish appliances and a strategic layout melded together the two main desires of any space - form & function.

“This is the first time we have worked with a kitchen design firm, and we must say, the experience was well worth the time and money! The design, as you can see from the pictures, was exemplary and the staff at the Kitchen Connection were both very talented and professional. I don’t believe anyone else could have done a better job. As a matter of fact, we sold the home a year or so after the installation and the most common and positive comment was about how great the kitchen turned out. We would not hesitate to use the Kitchen Connection again - on a new build or a kitchen remodel!
