This expertly renovated space transpired from the removal of a wall between the living room and existing kitchen, which allowed for an open-concept design, with a bright airy feel. The kitchen itself is narrow, a challenge that was met by keeping the island slim with seating to one end. The island countertop overhang slightly curves away from the fridge wall, giving more room for seating and walking. The opposing wall countertop has a step-back, allowing for a stool to be pulled out and stored. These careful considerations evolved into our favourite features, as they added dimension and visual interest to an otherwise linear design. Classic, white shaker doors, paired with a dark neutral grey island and glass dish cabinet, create a timeless look that will be enjoyed for years to come. The ornate tiled eating bar, apron sink, and arabesque backsplash give this kitchen memorable elegance and charm.

“We love our new kitchen! When we contemplated renovating our kitchen, we had no idea where to start. Working with Michelle and the Kitchen Connection was the best decision that we could have made! Michelle worked with us to design our kitchen, maximizing the space we had and she was able to bring us all of the features we hoped for. She was happy to work through our ideas in various drawings and offered ideas we hadn’t thought of. She is very knowledgeable and has a great creative vision. We are very happy with the quality of the work that the installers produced as well. Our installers had a meticulous eye for detail that we very much appreciated! Michelle organized everything for us so our kitchen renovation was a breeze from the beginning to the end. We appreciated our experience so much that we contacted Michelle and the Kitchen Connection to help us with cabinetry for 2 of our bathrooms!”
